The FIRM Cardio is sequenced to burn fat while working alternately upper and lower body. This is called PHA (Peripheral Heart Action). PHA also strengthens the heart by repeatedly making it pump blood back and forth between distant muscle groups.
This workout is 58 minutes.
For creating a slender, strong, shapely body, research shows that the most
effective is 2-in-1 aerobic weight training. The FIRM Cardio delivers both
aerobic and weight training simultaneously. Master Instructor Heidi Tanner
leads you through this fun, innovative, variable-intensity workout.
The FIRM Cardio with Heidi Tanner is perfect companion to The FIRM
Strength with Pam Cauthen because these workouts are designed as a pair to
‘cross train’ by varying exercises. FIRM Cardio burns fat using interval training
to work the upper and lower body alternately.
WARM-UP/STRETCH (6 min.) followed by 9 min. of AEROBICS and 24 min.
of BODYBUILDING to sculpt body. ABDOOMINALS/FLOORWORK (15
min.) is next followed by a relaxing and final STRETCH (4 min.)
